Good to know

  • Open jaw: arriving in one city and flying home from another saves the drive back – in the planner, for example “Florida from MCO to MIA”.
  • Rental car: picking up at the airport is easiest but often pricier than in town because of airport fees. One-way rentals usually cost extra.
  • In the planner: the IATA code is enough – “Texas from DFW to IAH” or “Orlando airport”.
  • Connections: immigration is at your first US airport. You collect your bags there and check them in again – allow enough time for the connecting flight.
